Deepika Padukone Biography
Deepika is a rare breed who’s blessed with both beauty and brains. She’s a very smart girl and always makes the right moves. Even though she’s not a born actress, she’s honing her skills well. And going by the promos of her latest, I think she’s done a fabulous job. Even when she debuted in my film Aishwarya, she was keen to do a good job and always corrected her mistakes. Deepika’s in the same mould as Aishwarya Bachchan.
And she’s learned the ropes of the industry well. I think she’s brilliant at handling the media and the industry folks. She’s definitely ready to take on Bollywood.
While her journey from model to super model on the international ramp has been short, her journey from model to Bollywood actress has been even shorter. With just two years of modeling behind her, Deepika seems to have hit all the right buttons to make her debut in the Hindi film industry.
Having used regional cinema (Kanada and Tamil) as a stepping stone to Bollywood, Deepika has always enjoyed being a supermodel.
“I didn’t get into modeling to get into acting. Everything happened eventually with time,” says the beauty, recently spotted at Kipling’s outlet in west Delhi at the launch of the company’s new bag collection, after a brief hiatus from the limelight.

Deepika Padukone was set act in Rakesh Roshan's next movie, however they chanhed her mind finally. The film, starring Hrithik Roshan could have been Deepika's ticket to the A-list in Bollywood. After they dumped Deepika, Roshans are now looking at casting a non-Indian for the role. Says a source, "Roshan's production house and Anurag have been auditioning girls. The female lead needs to be a salsa dancer."

I’ve seen Deepika even before she became a model and when I see her now, there’s such a phenomenal change. Her height, maturity, face and grace are her highlights.
And so far, from what I see of her, she’s heading the right way. Deepika has modelled my collections at numerous fashion weeks and each time I see her, there’s so much change. She makes a difference on the ramp and I’m sure she’ll do the same on the screen.
Her first film hasn't even hit the screens, but supermodel Deepika Padukone's face has hit the cover of a couple of magazines already. Hailing as a combination of the beautiful Aishwarya Rai and the sexy Priyanka Chopra, Deepika is one to watch out for.
She has an attractive face and a perfect 10 body, which makes her a visual treat. And with a launch pad in the form of Om Shanti Om, success doesn't seem too far away either for this new Cover Girl.
