James Blunt Biography
James Blunt was born as James Hillier Blount, on February 22, 1974 at Englnd. He is a popular British singer-songwriter whose debut album, Back to Bedlam, and single releases — especially the number one hit "You're Beautiful" — brought him to fame in 2005. His style is a mix of pop, folk and acoustic rock. Along with vocals, James Blunt plays a wide variety of instruments including the piano, guitar, organ, marimba and mellotron.
James Blunt has said that he was deprived of popular music during his childhood. The 33-year-old was introduced to classical music when his mother gave him a violin at just five — but the ‘You’re Beautiful’ hitmaker hadn’t heard chart hits until classmates introduced them to him at school.
He says, “At home we just had once CD player so I had limited access to music. The guys at school obviously had much bigger record collections than I had so they introduced me to different types of music.”
