Minissha Lamba Biography
Minissha Lamba was born on January 18, 1985 in Kashmir. is an Indian actress. Lamba is fast-emerging as a rising star in the Bollywood industry finding main-stream success in recent years. Her movies include “Corporate”, “Rocky: The Rebel”, “Anthony Kaun Hai”,“Honeymoon Travels”,“Anamika”, "Shaurya", “Dus Kahaniyaan”, "Bachna Ae Haseeno" and "Kidnap". Minissha stands 160 cm. tall.
Lamba had never prepared or intended to break into the film industry and even though she enjoyed modelling completing her studies was a priority of hers. In 2004, she majored in English with honours from the University of Delhi.
Then came her first movie in 2005 called "Yahaan", which was directed by Shoojit Sircar. This movie gave Lamba her break and she enacted the role with a lot of grace. Lamba’s dream role happens to be that of Kate Winslet in the movie Titanic.
It is to be said that though severely interested she was not at all prepared or ever intended to use modeling as a stepping-stone to films. So this offer to her was beyond imagination and she took Sircar's offer and moved on to acting in films. She says if she couldn't have been an actress, she would have wanted to be a war correspondent. In 2008, she acted in Siddharth Anand's film Bachna Ae Haseeno which stars Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone along with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. This movie is produced by Yashraj Films.
