The cast doesn’t get bigger than this. Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Priety Zinta share the leads in this Karan Johar magnum opus. The film centres on the budding romance between Dev and Maya, who are both married to different people.
Settled into a life of domestic ritual, and convinced that they are happy in their respective relationships, the protagonists still yearn for something deeper and more meaningful, which is precisely what they find in each other. The film has met with a good opening response at the box office and has been applauded by the critics.
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is set in New York City, while many of the scenes are filled nearby in East Hartford and New Haven in Connecticut. The majority of the Grand Central Station scenes were actually filmed at New Haven's Union Station and Philadelphia's 30th Street Station. It was filmed over a 90 day shooting period in the USA but a few scenes were shot on 4 large sets in Mumbai's studios.
