Kangana Ranaut Biography

Kangana Ranaut did her schooling in Himachal Pradesh. Kangana hails from Bhambla village of Mandi district. Kangana had taken up science and, initially, wanted to become a doctor. There are few career options for students of science though, eventually she shifted to Delhi and decided to try theatre instead. Kangana joined a group called Ashmita, and did two plays there -- Madhavi and Rakht Kalyan.

Kangana made a smashing debut in Anurag Basu’s Gangster. Kangana Ranaut bowled us over in Gangster, in which she had people rooting for her even though her character had shades of grey. She carried forward her brilliant act in Woh Lamhe, apparently playing 1970s' diva Parveen Babi. Barely 20, this young actress shows a lot of spark.

Kangana Ranaut is very young and extremely slim. Her model like figure enables her to wear anything and still look good! She has a personal style statement, which makes her stand out of the clutter.

Kangna Ranaut simply doesn’t care about what people have to say about her picture on the cover of a film magazine that appeared in during end of 2007.

Kangana was seen in a body suit, and the picture is accompanied by an equally shocking headline. But though Kangna’s so-called nude appearance has caught a lot of attention, the actress herself is unfazed.

She says, “What’s the big deal about the picture? Are any of my vital organs seen? I haven’t posed nude at all. These days one doesn’t need to. Body suits are available readily in the market.”

Kangna fails to understand why so many eyebrows are being raised. She says, “Why would I be upset? It was for an annual issue and we just tried doing something different. In my profession, one has to do different kinds of photo shoots. I fail to understand why such a big deal is made about a normal picture.”
