Leisha Hailey
Leisha Hailey is an American actress and musician most widely known for playing Alice Pieszecki in the Showtime Networks production The L Word. Hailey first came to the public’s attention as a musician in the pop duo The Murmurs and has continued a music career as part of the band Uh Huh Her. She was born in Okinawa, Japan to American parents.
Openly lesbian, Hailey dated k.d. lang for nearly five years, in a relationship that ended in 2001.
On September 26, 2011, Hailey was removed from a Southwest Airlines flight along with her partner due to complaints about inappropriate and excessive public displays of affection and an ensuing argument.
