Nargis Fakhri
Nargis Fakhri is a model for the Kingfisher bikini calendar 2009. Nargis is half Pakistani and half Czech. She is born and brought up in USA and got into showbiz since the young age.
Her Bollywood debut film is Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar. Imtiaz made her perform a sequence of auditions prior toselecting her for the role.
Born and raised in New York, Nargis just missed her chance of making it to the Top Model house during Cycle 3. She even messed up her words when introducing herself to the panel for the first instance.
She later expressed that she had no interest in fashion or modelling, just regarded at modelling just as a profession and a way to help a living. Her positive outlook during auditions got her noticed as she was signed by a modelling agency and went on to appear in several TV commercials and mag covers till Imtiaz Ali spotted her for Rockstar. Her mother would have preferred that she made a profession in the fine arts, though.
