Salma Hayek Biography
The Veracruz, Mexico-born Salma Hayek, of Lebanese-Mexican descent, made a huge splash in her first American crossover film, "Desperado." Her grace and charisma leaped off the screen, but Hayek has proven that, in addition to her broad acting abilities, she has higher goals in mind. She produced the well-received biopic "Frida," in which she played tormented Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, and currently produces the winsome TV hit "Ugly Betty." Now that's beautiful.
