It’s three more years as watch brand ambassador. TAG Heuer was the first watch that I ever bought with my own money and it is a great sense of achievement that I am now the Brand Ambassador of TAG Heuer! Says Shahrukh Khan.
TAG Heuer renewed its contract with superstar Shahrukh Khan for another three years. Besides appearing in the brand’s advertising campaigns, King Khan will support the brand in its events like the TAG Heuer Precision Golf Tournament, the TAG Heuer Precision Polo Cup as well as, product placements in his forthcoming films.
“It’s been monumental having Shahrukh Khan as a TAG Heuer brand ambassador. He has always strived to be true to the qualities that epitomise our brand i.e. the undying passion and the eternal search for perfection and precision. Over the years, Shahrukh and our team have developed a deep affection for each other and it is with great pleasure that we announce the renewal of our relationship. SRK campaign was shot by Ace photographer Atul Kasbekar. Looking smart in a black suit and flaming red shirt, Shahrukh Khan said, “It’s been a matter of great honour and pride to be associated with TAG Heuer, the leading watch brand of the world, for the last three years. I’ve shared a great relationship with the team in India and abroad. TAG Heuer was the first watch that I ever bought with my own money and it is a great sense of achievement that I am now the Brand Ambassador of TAG Heuer! We as a team will continue to strive for excellence, precision and perfection, in times to come.”
TAG Heuer also unveiled a sparkling new campaign at the press conference. “What are you made of?” 2006. Ace photographer Atul Kasbekar, who shot the new SRK campaign said, “In my opinion, SRK embodies everything that TAG Heuer stands for – he is dependable, professional, determined and focused.” TAG Heuer further announced that it would, in October 2006, launch 100 units of the Shahrukh Khan Monaco 69 limited signature edition timepiece, which would be the first watch to offer both mechanical and digital displays merely by pivoting the case. The signature edition watch has design inputs from Shahrukh himself. These will be avaolable in a specially designed pack.
