Suresh Gopi Biography
Suresh gopi popularly known as action hero for his many police roles he has done in Malayalam movies. He started acting at the childhood. Sureshgopi's first movie was in 1965. Then he was away from acting till the completion of his collage. During this time he happened to see lots of Kamal Hassan Movies and this inspired him to become an Movie star. His father wanted to see him as an IPS officer, and Suresh gopi even tried for Civil service with success.
Sureshgopi again appeared in the eighties as a supporting hero or the villain. His most notable works of this period include 'Irupatham Noottandu' (Twentieth Century), Rajavinte Makan ('The son of the King') a screen adaptation of 'The Rage Of Angels' by Sidney Sheldon and Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha.
"Thalasthanam" (The Capital), Ekalavyan and Commissioner was the films that established him as a main stream actor in par with super stars. He shot to superstardom with these movies and followed it up with roles in 'Pathram', 'Lelam' (Auction) and 'Vazhunnor' (The Rulers).
His portrayal of the police commissioner 'Bharath Chandran IPS' in Commissioner (1994) shot him to superstardom and is etched in Malayalam movie history as one of the most recognized roles. His famous monologue "Ormayundo ee mugkham?" ("Remember this face?") is synonymous with the role and has been subject to much imitation and parody.
In 2007 Suresh gopi is getting ready to appear in two movies in doubble role. They are BlackCat and Detective.
