Tabu Biography

Tabu was born in Hydrabad - AP on 4th November 1970. She is considered as one of the best actress in Bollywood industry. She is the niece of Shabana Azmi. Her sister Faeha was also an Bollywood actress. Tabu is known best for her willingness to play characters in artistic, low-budget films that go on to garner more critical appreciation than they do substantial box office figures

Tabu's first film, Prem failed to make even a whimper. But Tabu was determined and there were no emotional entanglements that could harm her career. She just went on working hard. Tabu's next film Vijaypath was a big success. The Song 'Ruk ruk ruk' and Tabu became very famous with the release of Vijayapath. She further earned respect with her intense and powerfull roles in films like Maachis, Virasat, Astitva and Chandini Bar.

One of the finest of our on-screen femme fatales, Tabu plays the Lady Macbeth routine with such delicious sensuality that it's hard not to be on her side. Vishal Bhardwaj's Maqbool sees the ever-stunning actress seduce the morally ambiguous Irrfan Khan in the titular role even as she's wed to the Godfatheresque Pankaj Kapoor. That line where she tells Khan about the various moles on her body still gives us, um, goose-pimples.

Tabu was grownup entirely with her mother as his father deserted her mother when she was very young. "For me it is my mother it is my father" Says Tabu.

Tabu has several plans for her future. Tabu wants to become a director. She is also a writer, she has written many poems.
