Trisha Biography
Trisha was born on May 4, 1983 in Palakkad, Kerala, India, to Krishnan and Uma Krishan. She is a Tamil Iyer girl. She did schooling at Church Park School and pursued her higher education in Ethiraj College, Chennai. In school, she participated in all the culturals and also sports and school band. Trisha is said to be a good ballet dancer. She studied in the same school as former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha. Later, she modelled and won Miss Salem in 1999, Miss Chennai in 1999 and Miss India Miss Beautiful Smile in 2001.
Trisha made her debut in films when she was offered a small cameo in the film Jodi. However, the first movie in which she signed up to enact the role of the leading lady was Priyadarshan's Leysa Leysa. Success was not in her favour during the first phase of her carrier. Her films, such as Manasellam, and Alai were flops. However she was well suited for her role opposite Surya in Mounam Pesiyadhe and won critical acclaim.
Trisha appeared in "Saamy" opposite Vikram, which turned out to be a mega blockbuster. The next huge film she took part in followed immediately afterwards, was Ghilli with Vijay, which was a remake of Telugu blockbuster Okkadu.
This ex Miss Chennai has had a fairly good ride too in the Telugu film industry ever since she delivered the blockbuster Varsham. In 2006, her film Pournami failed despite all the hype. Stalin where Trisha acted with Chiranjeevi too did not improve her fortunes much. The recently-released Sainikudu has been more or less written off though her performance has received some good remarks. In the begining of 2007 Trisha is working with Venkatesh in Selva Raghavan's film Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule and is scheduled to do Don with Nagarjuna.
Trisha was in a Sex controversery too. A two-and-a-half-minute video clip of Tamil and Telugu film actress Trisha Krishnan taking a shower in the nude is reportedly doing the rounds on the Internet. She was shoked to hear about this Trisha nude bathroom clip.
"It was not me in the 2 1/2 minute bathing video clip and someone who wants to malign my name has done this on purpose," Trisha has been quoted as saying on the website.
Trisha's mother Uma says that the body language of the girl in the clip was not Trisha's, nor were the jeans and t-shirt the girl removes just before her bath.
They have reportedly filed a complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner about the Trisha naked bathing movie and the cyber crime section of Chennai has already started investigating. "It is easy to trace the criminal once the IP address is found," the website has quoted the police officer investigating the case as saying.
Trisha is being actively considered for a role in Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan ’s forthcoming project, ‘Dasavatharam’.The names of two other heroines are also in circulation for a role in the movie. They are the current Bollywood rage Vidya Balan and top Tamil actress Jyothika. In addition, Trisha is also doing another Tamil film titled ‘Something Something’ in which her hero is Jeyam Ravi. Also she has many Telungu projects like "Pournami", "Stalin" and "Sanikudu". She is going to be busy for now.
